Water Filters

Water filters can be used to filter out sediment, chlorine, bacteria and improve taste and odour. There are also specialist filters available for removing heavy metals and containments such as arsenic.

Point of use water coolers require a filter to be fitted which requires replacement every 6 months. The most common water cooler filter is the in line carbon block which simply push fits on the 1/4" tube which feeds the water cooler, a good choice for this type of filter is the Xstream inline water cooler filter which can be purchased for about £15.00. A step up from this is the doulton water filter range which is a ceramic filter and is bacteria rated as well as improving taste, odour and reducing chlorine, these can be purchased for around £50.00 for the main doulton unit and costs on average £20 for the replacement water filter cartridges every 6 months.
